Executive Actions:

June 14:  Governor Murphy Signed Executive Order No. 246 Ending Moratorium on Utility Shutoffs and Establishing a Six-Month Grace Period for All Customers.

Activity Scheduled in NJ Legislature during week of June 21 to 25.
Legislative leadership expects to pass and send the FY 2021-22 budget to the Governor no later than June 24^th.

Senate Schedule: June 21:  Senate Session, Judiciary Committee, Law and Public Safety Committee; June 22^nd:Senate Budget & Appropriations Committee; June 24, Senate Session

Assembly Schedule: June 21: Assembly Session; June 22: Agriculture Committee, Housing Committee, Budget Committee; June 24: Assembly Session

Action on bills that of interest:

S-969: Establishes loan redemption program for teachers in certain fields to redeem loan amounts received under New Jersey College Loans to Assist State Students Loan Program through employment in certain low performing schools. Having been favorably reported by the Education Committee the bill was referred to the Appropriations Committee where it was favorably reported on June 16. On 2^nd reading ready for Assembly vote.
