Legislative Update
Activity Scheduled in NJ Legislature during week of May 17 to 21.
Budget and Appropriations and Assembly Appropriations Committees continue to take testimony from various Departments. Both are scheduled to take testimony from the Office of Legislative Services, the Department of the Treasury, New Jersey Economic Development Authority, and the Board of Utilities.
The Assembly will continue meeting virtually, while the Senate holds in person meetings.
Action on bills of interest:
A-1971: Directs BPU to develop and implement electric school bus pilot program. May 12, favorably reported by Assembly Transportation and Independent Authorities Committee. Next action: consideration by, Assembly Appropriations Committee.
