Watch Out for Advanced Fee Loan Scam

Scammers are targeting New Jersey residents with fake loan offers that seem too good to be true. These fraudsters use information from data breaches to pose as lenders, offering guaranteed loans and asking for upfront fees.

Protect yourself by not responding to unknown messages and verifying the legitimacy of anybody who says they’re a lender. If scammed, report it to the NJCCIC and contact your bank immediately.
