The questions came fast in the hour-long Zoom call, the first opportunity in months for New Jersey’s school superintendents, nurses and other staff to talk directly with state health officials about what is asked of them in the COVID-19 pandemic.
The state’s public schools were at a turning point, with the state’s mandate for all students to wear masks ending in 10 days. The Friday (2/25) morning call came three days after guidance came from the state Department of Health that was meant to fill in the details.
