NJ Has Some of Weakest Policies on Effective Reading Instruction, Report Says

Analysis from the National Council on Teacher Quality, a Washington, D.C.-based think tank, found New Jersey has some of the weakest policies in the country on what it considers effective reading instruction. The organization supports so-called science of reading practices that include teaching phonics and other strategies that have been shown to improve reading skills.
