NJCFE and NJ Credit Union League’s 5th Annual Financial Literacy Symposium and Awards Presentation is fast approaching on December 7. NJCFE is looking for and now accepting proposals for possible breakout sessions and exhibitors. Below is our Request For Proposal and the National Standards for Adult Financial Literacy to which all exhibitors and breakout sessions are asked to review and follow. It is requested that all organizations, programs and speakers wishing to participate within the NJCFE and NJCUL Symposium, please submit a proposal to info@njcfe.org

85% of parents say they talk to their child regularly about money management? -A 2008 Visa Survey unveiled that one-third (34%) say they talk to their child on a daily basis about using their money wisely, three in ten (31%) talk to them at least once a week, 14% at least once a month, and less than one in ten (6%) say a few times a year. However, 16% report never talking to their children about using money wisely.
